Privacy Policy

Last updated 2 September 2026

LeoCore Backup is desktop software that runs on your own computers. This policy explains the small amount of data that reaches us, and the much larger amount that does not.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is:

Souq E Kamil Trading and Solutions WLL
Kingdom of Bahrain
support@seksolution.com

Your databases never reach us

Backups are written to destinations that you configure — your disk, your file share, your cloud storage account. Database contents, backup archives, connection strings, database credentials and encryption passwords are never transmitted to us, and we have no technical means of retrieving them.

Database credentials and the archive encryption password are sealed on the machine that uses them with Windows DPAPI, bound to that machine, and are not readable on any other computer. We cannot recover your encryption password if you lose it.

No telemetry

The application contains no analytics, no usage tracking, no crash-reporting service and no advertising identifiers. No account is required to back up or to restore.

One clarification, so this section is complete. If the weekly update check is switched on, the application asks our server what the current version is. We count those requests, and the version number the request arrives with, so that we know roughly how many installations exist and which releases are still in use. We do not store your address, any identifier, your licence key, or anything else that would distinguish one machine from another — the same counting we do for visits to this website. It cannot be used to recognise a machine on its next visit, which is why the figure is an estimate rather than a count. Turning the update check off in Settings → Updates stops it entirely.

What we do collect

DataWhyLawful basis
Name or company name, email address, country, amount paid To issue and support your licence Performance of a contract
Licence key, edition, seat count To operate the licence Performance of a contract
A one-way hash of a machine fingerprint, plus any server label you choose to type To count seats and let you move a licence Legitimate interests — preventing licence misuse
Name, company, email and country given before checkout To prepare your order and issue your licence Performance of a contract / steps prior to a contract
Your marketing preference, and a record of when and where you gave it To send product news and offers only to people who asked for them, and to prove we had permission Consent
Support correspondence To answer you Legitimate interests — customer support
Standard web request logs To deliver this site and block abuse Legitimate interests — security
Order and tax records Accounting and tax Legal obligation

The machine fingerprint is a SHA-256 hash. It cannot be reversed and does not contain your hostname, IP address, user name or any hardware serial number in readable form.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Marketing email, and our shared contact list

We ask for your name, email and company before checkout so we can prepare your order and send your licence key. Separately, we offer you a tick box to receive product news and offers. That box is never ticked for you, and leaving it unticked has no effect on your purchase, your price or your support.

Souq E Kamil Trading and Solutions WLL publishes more than one product — currently LeoCore Backup and Tellsheet for Excel. If you consent to marketing, your contact record is held in a single shared list covering all our products, and we may tell you about any of them. We do this so that customers of two products receive one message rather than two. The list is ours alone: we never sell, rent or share it with anyone outside our company.

If you do not tick the box, we keep your details solely to fulfil and support your order, and you will hear from us only about the licence you bought — your key, security notices and matters affecting your purchase. Those are service messages, not marketing.

Withdrawing consent. Every marketing email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and it takes effect immediately. You may also email support@seksolution.com. Once you unsubscribe we record a permanent suppression, so buying from us again will not put you back on the list — you would have to opt in again yourself.

Payments

Purchases are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes your billing details, including payment card information, under its own privacy policy, and acts as an independent controller for that processing. We never see or store your card number. We receive your email address, name or company name, country and the amount paid.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. If you open a Paddle checkout, Paddle may set cookies necessary to complete the payment, governed by Paddle's own policy.

Network calls made by the application

  • Activation — once per machine, when you enter a licence key. Sends the key and the hashed fingerprint. Offline activation avoids this entirely.
  • Licence heartbeat — occasional, paid editions only, so your seat list stays accurate. If it fails, nothing happens: your backups continue and the software keeps working.
  • Update check — at most weekly, retrieves the current version number only. Sends no identifiers of any kind, and can be switched off in Settings → Updates.

The free Solo edition makes none of these calls. None of them affects whether your backups or restores run.

Where your data is processed

Our licence records are stored on Cloudflare infrastructure. Support email and order records may be processed in the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United States and the Kingdom of Bahrain. Where personal data is transferred internationally, our processors rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Sub-processors

  • Paddle.com Market Ltd (United Kingdom) — payments, invoicing and tax
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) — website hosting and the licence service
  • Resend (United States) — delivery of licence and notification emails

Retention

Licence and order records are kept for as long as the licence is valid and for seven years afterwards, as required for tax and accounting purposes in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Support correspondence is kept for three years. Web request logs are kept for a short period by Cloudflare in line with their retention schedule.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict our processing, to receive a portable copy, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it.

To exercise any of these, email support@seksolution.com. We respond within 30 days. Note that deleting a licence record ends the licence, so we will confirm with you before acting on such a request. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

LeoCore Backup is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Security

Licence data is transmitted over TLS and stored on access-controlled infrastructure. Secrets on your own machine are protected with Windows DPAPI and bound to that machine. Backup archives are encrypted with AES-256 before they leave your server.

Changes

If we update this policy we will change the date at the top of this page and, for material changes affecting existing customers, notify you by email.
